Don't deploy on Fridays if you work at a mid-scale to large-scale companies
If there is a book on "How to Deploy Right and Keep Customers", the above would be the 1st chapter.
Why? If the same issue happened on Wednesday, would that make any less of an impact?
If the said deployment creates an issue on Friday, the impact is going to be worse, on an average, than a similar issue+deployment on Wednesday. Why?
Because unlike blue-collar workers, the whole world doesn't stop working on weekends and it's relatively harder to get the employees of mid-scale 2 large-scale companies to work on weekends.
