I never experienced any "inconvenience" due to cross selling on these UPI apps. At least they don't call you every 5 minutes like those insurance apps

The day UPI starts charging, will stop ysing UPI and go back to debit cards. If they start charging debit cards, will go back to cash. Its not about the amount of money, Is a principle. Companies pay lower income taxes, get to offset indirect taxes, and allowed to provision for depreciation of their assets. Individuals get nothing. Am done paying taxes to the government. From now on i will pay only what is my share. and reduce the discretionary spending, just to reduce my contribution in indirect taxes.

I feel the same as you do about India's double taxation (income + expense).

But reducing discretionary spending will reduce GDP, which India has a great opportunity to increase substantially in the next decade. More importantly, every rupee you spend is income for someone.

The whole point is to the reduce the GDP. Only when it reduces governments willtake notice and bring change. As long as people consume, governments will behave like it's nothing. As long as there people willing to spend irrespective of the price there will always be governments justifying the taxes.

Frankly speaking, gpay has very less clutter and works for almost everyone. Phone pay does seem cluttered but gets the job done very well. So on for most of the apps out there.
