I was very friendly in the initial days of my first job and due to that nature of mine I had to go through lot of mental stress and betrayals people give. I was blamed for things I was not responsible for. I understood people only become friendly when they need you. All these realisations made me understand this ki not everyone is your friend in your workplace. This statement is apt.

Yes, this is what I follow now. Before I use to consider workplace friendships seriously, got backstabbed multiple times hence changed now.

Yeah so true. People share all sorts of information about their personal, family, dating and what not, and then wonder why they are the center of conversation or gossip. And funny part is they get offended at those who don’t wanna discuss personal matters and call them uptight. These people hardly have a life outside of work!
