CCTV, which one would you recommend? I need to buy 3/4 cameras for my home

I’m confused with sooo many options and why do we need channel dvr, can’t we just buy 3 cameras and set them up?

I am using Tapo! Very good so far and also very affordable.

You need dvr for storage and monitoring. I saw Airtel give some kind of subscription service with cameras but I'm not fond of subscription service or private footage on the cloud. A local dvr setup is better but all the companies and dealers seem shady and the end result like image quality is subpar.

Generally single cameras are good for a hallway or living room , and the problem with them is limited storage . While dvr’s are generally preferred if you are going for 3+ outdoor cameras as the power and internet line are in a single wire . And you get to have more storage for about 30 days . Putting single cameras which are connected to WiFi will need additional power points where you install them . I have one mi camera for hallway of home , and 3 outdoor cameras with DVR. Hope you have got some idea. Single cameras can also be connected to NAS storage’s , but again you will have to create power points at each point you install
