Company using me as a Developer

I recently graduated from a Tier-1 MBA college and got placed in a well-known digital firm as an Assistant Project Manager. I underwent compliance training etc for the first month and then got aligned to a tight deadline project as a developer, as there were no openings related to my expertise available. Note that I have no formal experience as a developer. The project is off the rails as no one here knows how to do their job properly. I am really exhausted and my health is getting affected. What can I do regarding this? What options do I have? Any guidance would be very helpful!

Talk to your manager, be clear with him/her that you don't want to be a developer. If he or she still doesn't change your work then you can reach out to your project head or HR team.

Firstly, start looking for another job right away.

Secondly, once you have some momentum in your job search (ie. you're reaching terminal rounds), escalate this issue to higher management if feasible. This way you've relatively hedged your risk of being jobless if you get fired because of the escalation.

Thirdly, keep doing the bare minimum possible.

This is such a difficult situation, stay strong OP. You'll get out of it soon!
