Now completely out of nowhere my manager assigned me a task which is completely out of domain and that too with a hard deadline. I have no prior experience of the same. Being on the bench, I am in no position to deny accepting the task. But I have no interest in doing it and even if, for the sake of doing the task, I learn the new skill and complete this particular task, it won't enhance my skill set cos it is completely out of the domain of my portfolio.
