How much do you save per month?
What is the biggest expense, how much do you save and how much do you invest

Wtf everyone here 2l+ pm 🥵🔥

Save around 90% of my salary. Biggest expense is rent (25k).

Income - 50k expenses - 15-20k saving - 30-35k
I am a 25 year old male. I am working in Mumbai. I get stressed because my EMls which were the result of impulse purchase. My per month expenses are listed below:

Cancel chatgpt subscription, YouTube premium, and uninstall dream 11. You should know better than playing these dumb games that are rigged. You can live without the subscriptions too.
Stop eating outside as often, why are you spending on groceries as well as food and also on movies+ snacks? Doesn't make sense to pay more than 5-6k a month in total on food. Pirate the movies/shows and stop any Netflix prime jio subscriptions as well if you have any.
I am a Software Developer. I take major code help from ChatGPT.
I just have to upload clicked pictures and it solves my problems.
Chatgpt i don't know why people buy, in my case i get what i need from chatgpt from free model itself.
Deam11 loss 10k Umm what? Why would you keep playing it if you are losing money?
EMIs might be a problem but your other expenses are also like crazy high (mobile bill 3k per month? How does one even spend that high on mobile bills.. The whole annual plan costs like 1.8k per year)
Phone plan is for the whole family, I'm guessing 3-4 people minimum
Mobile recharge is whole family
This isnt spending. This is ayyaashi..
Sell 2nd phone ??
Dont watch movies until emis are over
Dream 11 delete ?
You earn decent money, but have some very dumb emis -
2 phones on emi? You should have bought a used phone as your second one. Sell this one and pay off the emi.
flight ticket on emi, especially when you have so many other emis? Come on dude.
movies and snacks for 3000? How many movies are you watching a month?
for YouTube and mobile recharge, I'd suggest you do yearly plans to save on money.
dream 11 'loss'. This is clearly the dumbest one on here.
wifi, again make yearly payments wherever you can and save money.
Increase your investment in mf, you clearly have a spending problem, so keep as little money with you as possible, and put the rest in savings/investment. 60/40
Watching movies in the theatre is the only option for me to spend the weekend in Mumbai.
Otherwise I will spend the whole weekend scrolling reels only.
I can't go for a trip every weekend since it will add more cost.
U don't need maid or cook, just a maggi enough, only if u r working everyday at office.
Sister child education coverage? What is she giving to you? Where is her husband?
Her husband died during Covid. So I am sponsoring education of my niece. I give my sister 5k for paying rent and some other expenses. I have admitted my niece in good English Medium school. (16k for a UKG)
This person listed everything that's spent and says the balance 25K also goes poof. Hiding some other expenses?
Yes. I am not able to track other expenses. It is some kind of random expenses.
Since I always use a credit card for everything
I pay the bill in the middle of every month.
My total credit limit is 12 lacs.
My current month credit card bill was 81k (which includes no cost EMIs and some shopping)
Track them. And if they are one time investment like the wifi network, washing machine, or AC for home then no worries.
And if you want to enjoy these anonymous spendings then stop dream11. That can boost your spending by 11k.
Credit card + habits(of spending? = Deadly combo
Though your style of enjoyment may be justifiable and in fact it's your life. You can do whatever you want. But the fact that you asked the question of your spending is itself a signal that you want to change it. So yeah, any justification for your spending is not worth if it doesn't add future value now. It's hard to change habits. But one harsh advice would be to cancel credit card if you can't control spending.
Morgan Stanley me kaam karte ho aur dream 11 me satte bazi krte ho,
digesting the THE IRONY :)
Arre I am a contract employee.
This is what I do, take out 2 minutes each day to note down money spent and add to the total, old fashioned way never lose track of 5 rupees.
On side note, Had been saving up for ₹1.5lkh laptop since November and surprise surprise it's price is now ₹1.35lkh will probably buy next month without EMIs, (no cost EMI aren't real had bought iphone 16 for 64k nett using EMI cancellation)
