Work life balance
One of the founders at my past workplaces told me
"24 year old like yours must not take a week of vacation" 😂
(The vacation in discussion was "official time off" for EVERYONE + 2 extra days that I took as PTO)

Like i took 2 days extra in addition to what was "mandated" leave for everyone else 😂,
My guy felt the need to rub it down as to how I a 24 y/o didn't deserve vacations because i am young 😂
Were they from an IIT/IIM background? What do you think led to this thought process?
The fact that they had probably worked their ass off in their early career and expected others to do the same,
But there's a difference between suggesting and humiliating.
Also this was company mandated leave for all employees.
But unlike them, i am not them, and i really appreciate my work life balance, my life extends well beyond work for good reasons.
I am not going to sacrifice "mandated" leave, which is often advertised as a "perk" for joining such places.
