Congress didn't ignore it, BJP left them with a fked situation.
This would've been the situation 1-2 years ago already if covid didn't happen. Water use reduction by commercial activities saved some time but it's back to square one.

No, the highlight of the article is that govt is cracking down on tankers in order to meet water requirements of villages. In the coming weeks, BWSSB will want at least 150 tankers for themselves.
This not a flats problem,
This is india level planning and population issue.
Even smaller city like Jaipur has water shortage issues.

Yes, it is. High density housing issue. Too many people in too little places are crammed together. Causing not only water but pollution and traffic issues.
Just last month I said to encourage water plant building by hype marketing it as a startup idea like "building infra for water decentralisation using AI".
