1cr+ sal folls
in your organisation, who are the people who actually make more than a crore (in cash, ESOP not included). I am trying to validate the stuff I hear from my friends that every other guy in startups is making butt loads of monies and I look around and find even getting a 30-40+ Lacs job is demanding and not flying by the minute

As of right now about 4% of the company is at 1cr and above and out of this more than 50% doesn’t warrant that salary. The only reason they got to this salary is because of one person in the decision making - rather their bull headed wrong decision making.
23% are at above 70lakhs. No wonder the company is struggling and looking at the next layoff.
I am truly surprised why the other leadership is questioning the CEO on their true intentions towards the company.
How is it that you throw so many numbers around but still fail to mention the company name?

hahaha. that was the point sort of. maybe, just maybe, i m not yet ready to be outed as a handful are privy to the numbers.
5 startups which were pumped in historical funding in the last 4yrs have been gloriously failing. what is interesting to see is that the number that I have, everyone of their investors have the same. it is amazing how they continue to fail and none of the investors are even stepping in to help by giving good guidance/advice. Fully agree the responsibility and ownership is completely with the founding team who took the funding, but, this trend of investors just not bothered to help at least shed light on what is going wrong is a new.
anyways, not the topic in discussion in this thread. maybe soon, will have a thread as and when the 5 startups indicate either shut-shop or more layoffs. chao!

In software engineering many of my 2+yoe friends are getting 40+lpa, getting 1cr at 7-12yoe isn’t unreasonable.
