No you don’t need to share offer letter. It’s not legal. Just say you want to take some time off or have cousins marriage to attend

Not recommended.. refrain from sharing offers with current employer.. might land u in trouble as HRs might cross communicate & create unnecessary hassle

Don't. Don't share company names also. If they force , say I am getting X amount so I am leaving that's it. If they counter a better one, take it.

They were asking, but I declined. I don't want to stay where they knew my potential and still didn't respect it

What is your total experience in years? And how many years have been working for this company?

Can they force me to complete full notice period

Yes. You are bound to complete. Unless it's mutually agreed upon that you can leave early.

Or just check if your company allows you to pay a part of your basic pay and leave. Usually it will form part of your fnf. Parallelly check with your new employer if they can cover this amount for you.

No, don't do it! It's a shitty guise to know who is hiring you and I am sure it's mostly to check if it's with a competitor. I've seen instances where somebody fell prey to this, they got their offer rescinded and the org ended up firing this individual stating that they breached contract by trying to take employment in the same field which was clearly mentioned no-no on their employment agreement.

Gosh! I said yes to sharing it but something felt wrong. I cannot imagine how they were trying to twist me for information

Talk to a skip manager or HR resource. No one can ask for copy of offer letter like this. It's a confidential document
