Canada is a fucking joke tbh
Place is a shithole. I made a mistake of going there for studies after getting an admit at schools in the US. Man that place sucks. Everyone is soft as hell and there are no good jobs. Grad schools are a joke and the cities are more like a town with one main road. Canada is literally the gully cricket league of life while US is World Cup. I have very little respect for people who end up in Canada, grow a pair of balls and move out to the US or India. Just imagine I am so furious even today that I am typing this at 4am.

are you in india now? what qol there vs that in india ? i'm sure there would be a lot of differences there
Have you been to Canada? No biases, just understanding your perspective on qol.
Yes in India. QoL is shit. Roti Kapda and Makaan? You can’t make enough to cover either of them. It’s pure shit.
Real estate is a bubble due to Chinese money. Can’t earn enough for food let alone clothing, knew multiple people who were doing two jobs to cover costs of living.

Personally, I don't want to ever leave Bharat. Too much happy with this place. My reasons :
1. Earning enough to live a decent life with FAMILY
2. We are equatorial people. Can't withstand harsh weathers of Canada
3. Food😋
4. Hate the drug culture, racism and stupid governments over there.

You get to earn in stronger currency and save a lot compared to India. + Better chances of moving to USA. Weather waala point is correct. But stupid govt to India me bhi hai. All parties are corrupt and we get taxed so much for so little in return. Go to South India and you will see racism as well.

Am starting to notice a trend here. People live abroad and then start cribbing about how life is very difficult.
Till a few weeks back, it was earning 1 cr and cribbing how low their salary is and how diilfficult it was living qillqithin that income.
It is not just that life is difficult. But from what au have heard, you are taking the same risk when you move abroad. Canada has a lower reward for that risk compared to the USA.

Shouldnt Risk/reward be compared against what you have?. It should be India vs Canada or India vs USA not USa vs can vs au etc..
By that logic, one can always say life in Liechtenstein is way better than life in SF.
Let's not forget the arctic like winter conditions, which honestly no Indian is prepared to handle. You struggle with 2 jobs, stay in suburbs paying high rent and then you hole up inside your home for 7 months a years. Winters are no joke for tropical folks like us.
Well it's been a joke for a few years now. But if you have a good job and got in early on the real estate then you good.
And I also see people getting citizenship and then finding jobs in the US.
Won't make a difference. US green cards are based on country of birth. Citizenship doesn't count. So it's the same H1B - GC struggle
You can get a TN visa and don't need to struggle with a H1b if you are a Canadian citizen if I understand it correctly. And US companies would be more likely to sponsor these than H1b.
Not to mention less likelihood of exploitation as you can just go back to Canada. Change employer and get a new visa

Have lived in Canada for 2 years. Just the cold and snow broke my mood. It's stupid how cold and costly the place is.
Hyderabad is much better imo than Vancouver to live long term. More jobs, cheaper biryani and not having snow all around that makes you slip all the time. 😅
One of my cousins graduated from NITW landed in one of the listed companies owned by Tatas...worked there ...applied for Canada PR...went there and worked for a startup...earned well bought a house .now works from a tier 2 town in South India remotely for the same start up..earns around 10 Lakh per month...definitely can be categorised in top 1 %...he has a better QoL in India than in Canada
Okay hot take, a lot of people (say 90%) who move to Canada can't land a 1l + per month job in India :)
My cousin is in Canada !!! Trust me their parents talk so proudly about his success infront of me. And my dad berates me for not going to canada/US and studying there in a Tier 2 college as family members butt in suggestions.
