Deloitte-Appraisal, Hierarchy, Joining Bonus, Relocation Bonus

1. What is the appraisal cycle for delloite? 2. Do we get variable pay in 2 tranches like PwC (60- June and 40- Sept) 3. Is it a good time to switch to Delloite in June month?

Has Deloitte stopped offering relocation reimbursements and joining bonuses, I'm negotiating with them but they aren't budging on both these points. Any leads are appreciated on this topic.

Hi All, I joined Deloitte in Nov,2023. During my joining i negotiated with the HR regarding the increment of my base pay as it was too less. HR gave me two options, 1. Either take a joining bonus of 50k with the same package, 2. Or be eligible for the next appraisal cycle i.e. april 2024. I wondered if my efforts in the project will be recognised or not by the end of april. So i choose to take the joining bonus with the same package. The HR has left the firm and i am not sure whom to ask and approach regarding the appraisal query. Will i still be ineligible for an appraisal of even 5-10% this year?

I might receive the offer letter from Deloitte for Senior consultant role, in my conversation with the HR I had informed I'd want a higher level in that. As in L2, L3 (or SC2/SC3). What I want to know will I get that mentioned in the offer letter, how do I ensure this? Please suggest.

So I currently don’t have a job. I am interviewing at some places . 2 years exp data engineer. 1st company - 16 base 2nd company (a big American bank/fintech) - 17 base Now the thing is I want to join 2nd obviously because brand but I think I am being low balled considering it is not the lowest position. It is just 1 above. What should I do? I have accepted the offer because I really didn’t want to lose it and the HR didn’t agree to increase it even after speaking to her for long.

Hi, I am recently promoted as senior consultant in a Big 4, Transfer pricing divison (tax) waiting for annual hike and bonus. Fixed 12L, Variable 1.5L. Experience 2.5 years What are other big 4s paying for Similar experience?

While over the years, I was chasing Investment Banking and Consulting roles, realised how underrated AM is as a profession. Surely not as lucrative as IBD in terms of pay and prestige, but it is a sweet career path. The anxiety due to working into consulting became unbearable after a certain point and I realised that it's good, the growth is nice with decent pay but I don't think I can handle the stress of clocking 60+ hours a week and it's better to leave than being completely burned out. In AM, I make much more than I used to make in consulting. I barely work 40-42 hours a week compared to 60+ in my consulting days with much more job stability and a better work environment. It's not all roses. There are days when there is a bit of pressure but these days are far and few in between and are much less brutal. I have enough time now to do whatever I want. Gym in the morning. Office at 10 and a game of tennis is the evening after work. Not to mention, I have enough time to spend with family. I talk to my friends working in IBD on a daily basis and frequent rants about poor quality of life is now a part of our daily conversations. I finally reached at a point when I realised that I should stop running after higher pay and start considering other aspects of life. Not saying that one should stop chasing money, but just the compensation should not be the only factor. All that money is of no use when you don't have the time to spend it with the same set of people you are earning this money for.
