Cred is truly a topic of surprise for me. Yes, I understand it has created a community of top spenders/credit worthy people in India. I also understand that they can use the information on such people for creating value for themselves.

Being a cred user, I only use it to pay the bills. I really wonder if they have built any b2b business or alternative source of income beyond what's seen to the end user. What's the game plan for the cred? 

I also applaud the fact that cred hasn't laid off people having paid them better than most companies. I really wonder if the business is really that strong or the conviction is. Would you join cred if given a chance to work there?

I feel cred is doomed and just trying to increase its value. 
 And the end goal is to sell the cred to someone with higher value and make money.

Since early childhood all I talked, watched and read was Technology. When I got home from school, I worked on C++ and built games by modelling physics, collisions etc. I frequented a ton of online forums for WebGL and other archaic tech that most of you don't even know about.

I knew all about the Silicon Valley, the stories and legends. I learned all about the history of technology and used to work deeply with my father with transistors, ECU/ECMs etc during weekends. 

I thought I knew it all. I thought I was the deal. I remember schooling folks about all of this, making them realise they are dumb as hell. I remember when I stepped into my MS in CS program and attended a club meeting, I realized that I was just like everybody else.

They were all the same as me in hindsight. They knew the same things and lived and breathed the same passion. I knew I wasn't special. For the first time, I suffered ego-death. I thought I was special, and I was not.

This is just a reminder, that you are not special. You are less unique than you think you are. So lose that attitude.

In a nutshell, we're just mental labourers and we're paid more than physical labourers not because  we're smarter, it is done in order to compensate for the compromised health (lowers your testosterone, fucks reward system of your brain, causes deficiency, anxiety, myopia, backpain).

They were backed by Elevation and Accel, had raised ~$7mn
Seems like getting transactions to happen was too tough, despite building a network. Getting money out of Indian SMBs, a consistently tough model.

- The Bengaluru-based company is in preliminary talks with Zepto and grocers like Pincode and KPN to strengthen its position in the market.
- Nexus Venture Partners, a common investor in Rapido and Zepto, is facilitating these discussions.
- Rapido recently became a unicorn, raising $200 million in its Series E funding round, led by WestBridge Capital.
- The company currently operates in over 100 cities, handling 2.5 million orders per day across bike taxis, autos, and cabs.
