Young men are extremely excitable. You'll get across PE sooner than later.

Thank you! Could you please help me with what jobs can help?

That either is the smartest leading line or a stubbornly single track mind.

For the former - you don't need a job, it'll just happen. Sometimes doesn't even need a touch.

For the latter - the optimal path staying back in India is Consulting > PE. Only because entry barriers in Consulting are lower and you'll get a good set of T1 choices. IB, which is the ideal move has a very narrow set of choices for fresh grads.

Most relevant curriculum will be an MBA. Followed up by maybe a CAIA. Don't bother too much with a CFA / FRM. They have marginal utility.

Good luck!

Management consulting -> tier 1 mba -> Tier 1 IB -> Tier 1 PE

For tier 2 and others, it can be variable. But skills and connects from IB translate well to PE. And since there are few jobs available, brand name colleges.

If you're from IITB's etc, Top tier PEs hire for pre mba analyst roles after a year at a Bain, Mck etc.

Thank you so much! Can I get in through domestic IB?

Again, it's variable.

Skills from domestic IB would certainly help. Industry and stage also kinda matter.

Like if you join an IB that does VC type deals, you wouldn't get a hang of how buyout works and vice versa. But good domestic IBs should give you a good enough base.

But for top tier pe, you can just go on LinkedIn and check work history to get an understanding.

Read CFA L2 atleast. Valuations are good to know to crack the interview. There is a book on Financial reporting and analysis. Kotak, Axis are good desi IBs.
