I'm nervous in my first job
Hello guys, I'm 2023 fresher, I just got a job as a frontend developer, it is my first job, but from past couple of days, I feel very anxious and I'm nervous and shaking, sometimes I feel I don't know lot of things at work, I can't stop thinking about it, sometimes I feel like they might fire me from my job bcz maybe my work doesn't meet their expectations as much as they expect, but I'm working hard, " aap me se kafi senior kabhi fresher rahe honge" I would be happy , if you will tell me how to overcomes this, Thankyou in advance ♥️
Good engineers do more than just write code. Be more involved in technical discussions, be proactive in asking your manager about the feedback in every single 1:1. Befriend atleast one of your seniors and learn about their journey as much as you can. Seek feedback from seniors aswell.
Baki writing level code and understanding of product will come with time, remember Zomato believed in you when they hired you, they know you are capable enough. Talk to your peers who joined with you, share your feelings, I'm sure most would be in the same boat.
Rest don't worry, being anxious will only make you think about work 24x7, which in the long term is detrimental to your physical and mental health, it's not worth it.
You can probably take up some side projects as well and work on them as and when you get the time to do so.

Don’t worry. This has happened to every senior out there. This feeling will help you grow. Dimag me jyada tension leke isi sab ke bare me mat sochte rehna.
Try to learn from the things around you. Talk to seniors, they will help :)
Set up 1:1 with someone senior in the team. Atleast once every 2 weeks. Talk to him or her about what you did and do code review. Ask for areas you could have done differently. Setup another one with your PM since you will get an understanding of expectation vs any mismatch. This do it once after every big or medium project. Since you are front end, learn about finish of your work, get design to review your output. Feeling nervous is ok. These meetings will help you get the confidence you need to perform better. If you have done good work it will show and you will feel less nervous. If people criticize a lot then try to accept the feedback and do better. If the senior only criticizes then get another one.
Don't worry, this is common with every one I saw in my almost 6 years of career so far. When I was an intern I thought I won't even get a FTE conversion. Not only did I get it, I also got highest package among our intern batch. That feeling existed for 2 years, but despite that, I got performance bonus every 6 months and an appraisal of more than 50% every year.
It happened with my seniors, it happened with me, it is happening to my juniors and it will keep on happening. Just go with the flow and you'll do just fine. Only thing to make sure is to write down all the tasks you did and a one line summary of it in a notebook, so it will be helpful when appraisals arrive.
