I am working at very small green energy startup from Norway as head of analytics , remote working . We are building data stack from scratch and then build analytics and Ai . Wlb is good , salary is good and environs is superb . The company has no data culture , very less data , no data literacy , no scale . I am getting panic attack that I am not doing good cutting edge work , boring work . People in Indian startup like Swiggy flipkart are doing next generation of work in dl and llm . My career is finished and I don’t know what to do . Experience 18 yoy 1.3 cr tc

With AI improving we see it is quite capable of writing decent codes, how can someone new to tech decide on what to pick up? Frontend or Backend or both. Nowadays they say Full stack developers are in demand but shouldn't one be good at at least one thing and have knowledge about other things? How to prioritise what to learn. There are just so many things that I'm a bit confused as to what to learn and focus on. I'd like to seek advice from a future perspective, and any predictions on how the tech industry might shape up.

I'm currently 6 YOE. But experience is diverse like in real-estate and eCommerce.. b2b saas is kinda a lucrative opportunity do you think it's worth to make an effort and move?

what are the fields with growing opportunities and it is the right time to get into?

I am currently in a company with 8.55 lpa ctc ( just graduated this year btech cse) . We do python databricks also sql server and IICS .( basically data engineering ) . I don't want to do data engineering. I want to learn something else which is exciting and will give me more pay . So now I am learning Golang but stackoverflow survey says that zig language pays the highest ( quite strange ) . So I want to ask Industry experts what is the hot tech right now , what should I learn which is interesting as well as pays more ?

There exists two types of jobs, one is of typical software developer jobs on bit old but Stable and in demand technologies and second one are jobs related to trending tech like web3, data science, AI, cloud etc. Which one do you think is better for someone to opt.

Specifically a question to all the t1 tech clg grads (mainly software engineers) earning 1l+ pm out of clg with a lot of scope for growth. Post mba avg salary is 1.5l per month. I can understand ppl desperate for a career change and non tech ppl who are underpaid and don't really have ab option but it baffles me why well paid folks would shell out 30lakhs kr take the burden of loan just to learn how to appear smarter than you actually are instead of investing it for a meagre salary increase that can be achieved by job switches. I'd love to hear any insights about ppl who've already been in the space. Why u did, salary PRE post sector etc

Hey everyone. Thought I could do an AMA. A bit about me - have 4 years of work experience and graduated from a non engineering college. Was at a startup before (from Series B to Series D) before becoming a VC Personally look at consumer and B2B investments here Happy to answer any questions around life as a junior VC, startup ecosystem, career growth etc.

By plan, I mean - After what networth you want to FIRE? - By what age you think you’ll achieve that Networth? - How are you going to build that networth? - What are you going to do after you FIRE?

Current state - I work as a PM intern at a startup. We shipped a major release few months back and since then I barely have any work. It's an ops heavy startup, so the work we do is just supplementary and I'm not making a huge impact anymore. I'm one of the select remote workers here and I've been with the org for the last 2 yrs, working parallelly alongside my college. Initially the work was exciting but now it has died down. The org has a okayish culture. There's no downside but limited upside as well. Pay is pretty good for me (considering I work <2hrs/week) but below average for fulltimers. A little context - I'm pursuing an integrated(5yr) degree from a reputed B-school in Mumbai and I'll be graduating coming July. The placement cycle will start soon but I'm extremely unsure of what I want to go ahead with. I have varied interest. I like to tinker and play around with things. I've built successful social media pages & YT channels in the past. I've freelanced in digital marketing, web development and made decent money out of it. I've built chrome extensions and apps with several thousand users. I feel like I also have interest in web3, strategy, founders office and consulting roles. Few months back, I got an offer from a DeFi company, however they receded it once they realised I still have more than a year left to graduate. The confusion - I feel like I should leave my current org as there's no more learning here. However, I don't know in which direction should I proceed after that. The only thing I'm sure of is I'm not built for big corporates. I enjoy working with high ownership and small sized startups seem like the only option. I have 8 months of college left and I'll have to start looking for jobs within next 1-2months. (continued in comments)
