What's the scope of "Product Marketing" in India and global as well. Is it a growing field?
The lines b/w product roles are getting thinner by the day, especially in smaller orgs. For example, personally I feel we are not far from a day where in small teams with a good designer wouldn’t necessarily require a separate product manager.
Objectively measurable roles like growth PM / product marketing will continue to grow
Vice versa bro, days of designers are gone too or at a verge where now a product guy can draft/document/analyse a solution and develop UI/UX FOR it !
My opinion would be to build your understanding about marketing funnels and aspects first and then jump into product as bhai said lines are getting thin, so Marketing won’t be the only parameter for you to be interviewed for !
Yeah,right! Buddy till the day companies keep hiring Product managers and make them do Project and delivery management, PMs job in our country is safe.
Also, every time somebody gives this reasoning that a growth PM/PMM is going to replace product manager role. Bhai/Behen you do realise that before reaching growth stage you need to validate your idea which means you will have to do Product discovery (0-1 stuff). Who will do that?
And before copying AirBnB , understand where they are in the product development and company maturity stage. Read more guys before framing conspiracy theories, it helps!!

Roger that! PMM role works mostly for companies which have crossed the chasm beyond early adopters and early innovators. PMM helps when the company wants to cater to early /late majority.
