Someone cloned my Credit Card near Ghatkopar🤬

I was in Mumbai this weekend and I was having street food in Ghatkopar. I heard someone whispering but ignored. When I turned around I saw three people, 2 guys and 1 girl. I continued enjoying my food when I saw that the girl behind me had left and dropped some money. I walked up to her and told her about it.

I bent down to pick it up when the other two guys bumped into me. I think they were cloning my card all this while, I will explain why I think that. I asked them if something was wrong and they said No and went away.

I checked today morning and 16,731 were deducted at some weird merchant in USA. I was confused, so I instantly blocked all my cards. I have contacted the bank about this fraud as well.

I am confused: I did not do any transaction on any website that looked shady nor did I give my details out to anyone. The only thing that explains this is that they cloned my credit card and this was their strategy. How to comfirm this? Please help.

I read similar things online going on. You might be right. As long as you didnt shared OTP with anyone, bank will refund your amount, Raise it to RBI ombudsman if they don't. A safety tip I always turf of international transactions option for all my cards and set a transaction limit to all domestic transaction to avoid losses

It is probably not cloning but rather NFC payment (as they bumped into you, they must have tapped your pocket)
