A Bottle by the Door!💯
It was one of those scorching summer afternoons. I was waiting for a package to be delivered. When the doorbell rang, the delivery guy handed me the parcel with a polite smile, but his eyes gave away the exhaustion from scorching heat. I had a bottle of cold water in the fridge. Without thinking much, I grabbed it, mixed it with normal water and handed it to him. He paused for a second, like he didn’t expect it. Then he smiled and said, “Thank you”. That tiny moment stuck with me. So I started keeping a few cold water bottles/juice/cans ready if someone comes at the door. Nothing fancy, just a small act of kindness. Now it’s a habit. Some of them take it with a nod, some smile, and a few even stop to say thank you. But every single time, I feel like I’m doing something right. We can’t control the heat, but we can help in the thirst! 😇

Good Good. At home which is in tier 3 city, it’s normal. But lately, I haven’t seen this habit in NCR. I mean, people don’t even consider the other person as human🫥
Mai to naya aaya hu idhar, pr haa logo mai dekha hai maine akad jayda hai idhar. To wo log bhi hich kichate honge.

Wow. Nice.
So you gave away the bottle too or just the water?
Also, you are very inspiring. I also do that but minus the bottle part because not rich enough to give away water bottles. Yet.
"a little bit colder than normal water instead of freezing cold water" gang 4 life. 🥹
If someone is coming from scorching heat, I make sure to mix the water not to give them cold water directly. And yes, it was just a normal small water bottle(nothing expensive or glass)
