Folks in Growth and Marketing, how did you guys land your first job?
I’m a recent graduate with a digital marketing major and around 9 months of internship experience at 2 startups.
For the past two months i’ve been trying to find a job at a decent company with good culture as well as salary. however, i am not able to grab a single decent offer, not even interviews! i’ve tried everything from cold emailing to asking for referrals to applying on various platforms.
Tried several mentoring platforms as well but the advices were very vague and didn’t help much.
It is getting depressing now and i am feeling truly hopeless as i am living with my parents in a small town with nowhere to go and nothing to do.
What can i do? i really need some direction in life right now
Get it into a reputed agency and put in the hours. Then start applying and see your success rates go up. When it comes to startups no one would wanna hire a fresher in growth and marketing since these teams are lean. Unless you’re from a T1 institute of course
Be open to the idea of internships too. Current openings in the market prefers ppl with some experience.
