Why is everyone so obsessed with Chief of Staff/Founder’s office roles suddenly?
Saw a surge in posts for Founder’s office/Chief of Staff roles, many people are interested in. What’s with the new trend?
I know him well. He's an idiot.
I have followed his Twitter, he is pretentious. What the hell does he mean by his peers not being prepared for him ? If you are not in a IC role , you can keep giving unrealistic deadlines and pretend the colleagues are not able to catch your speed. 😂😂
I mean as a manager my speed is to build Paytm like app is half day , now all of you guys sit down complete the coding, design, product, operations. You people get going. If you are not able to do it , that's because you are slow.
bohot toxic hai banda. poora ben stokes hai banda.
Having been a founder myself, no we are not super humans. Neither do all of us believe in sharing self praising gyaan like this. The idea of making it your company only sounds good on random inspirational posts, but you can never expect someone else to treat your vision like theirs if you're not sharing a reasonable upside with them. This is an underlying toxic trait with many preachy founders to talk about 10k ft view and moving too fast, kind of putting down folks who are looking at constant balancing in their lives!
I can vouch for the fact that as founders while we do have grandiose visions of how we can make things big, we don't really have an understanding of how everything goes cohesively and like any other human being have blind spots that we ignored. Pace without rationale and backing is simply a way to burn money and people.
But this is exactly the kind of agenda pushing that most VCs and founders love, I am dead sure even if he isn't really following this it surely makes up for the right optics to display you have no limits on the so called 'call of duty'
yes. He is doing it to please his audience - hypocrites just like him.
Bruh what is he saying. Someone please explain in simple words. All I see is buzzword buzz word blah blah blah
Is he saying not to overwork your peers to death? That's it?
All he does is regurgitates management books and frameworks. Just priming himself for Harvard or Wharton B-school.
Donno about him. I’m a founder myself and don’t post such stuff. Its mostly a trap to continuously upsell one’s brand in the hope of being noticed.
Not all founders are like this. Most are quietly focused on doing their job well
Muted him long ago
Wow! Glad to see this thread not because of running the guy down. But at least, now I don't feel stupid for feeling that all that gyaan has been show-baazi for personal brand building.
Even some of the gyaan has been quite rubbish but he has built quite a following even amongst people who should ideally have the experience and capability to know better.
I had to mute this gent's posts (and that too, after unfollowing!!) on all social media fora because people I respect kept resharing!
At least, Warikoo Bhai never claims to be deep. He found a wave and he is riding it or milking the cow or whatever.

While the company is doing absolutely poorly and laying off people left right and centre, the two so-called founders are on vacation to the US chilling and hanging out with people.

I'm so slammed with my day job that i barely have any time left to work on my ideas. On the weekends i just want to rest and recoup.
How do you founders do this? I work at least 10 hours a day. Then there's commute, lunch and bathroom ...
I am so frustrated by observing how some Indian startup founders have been mistreating employees. This is happening literally in all the startups and corporates.
Many of us invest their precious time and money obtaining degrees, only to...
