Hi all, I am sharing my internship experience working with Cosmofeed. I got up an offer for associate software development intern last year. Talking first about the pay, it was decent enough more than average. You can consider it upto the industry standard.
Before assigning me any work or my first task, I was explained in detail about the product and the motivation behind building it. This speaks much about them that they are not just concerned about to get output from coding out but also to make their engineers understand the behind motivation of product.
For initial days, I spent my time to understand the codebase, folder structure and the best practices which they have incorporated in their codebase and I have learn a lot lot from their codebase and I can clearly see a huge difference of me on day 1 of internship to the end of internship.
Seniors here are very supportive, the way they helped me to deal with a blocker is something I learnt from them. They believe in my growth more than getting a final output and getting things done, which has played a huge role in someone who joined them in freshman year - BTech 2nd year.
I have also learnt about giving ETAs and being stick with it to deliver timely, gradually I got better and better. But I have always made sure to communicate effectively and for that my seniors have equally praised me to boost my moral.
I also took timely feedbacks on sprint end to make sure I am growing, and for this I have received some very good growing feedbacks - both positive and negative which I will keep in mind while working for a different company.
About taking leaves, they have always been flexible to me understanding me being a college student and I have commitments. So whenever I had to take leave, without asking a single question, they approved the leave. Obviously I made sure to communicate earlier and complete my pending tasks before going OOO.
Overall, it was absolutely great experience to work with Cosmofeed!
