Why do you think Byju’s is falling?
Apart from unethical sales practices, toxic work culture and mindless accusations, what do you think went wring with Byju’s.
I'll go first.
Narcissistic AF, named a whole product after his name!
I see employees ranting about bad work culture, toxic managers and leads even in other social media platforms where they can be traced out easily. Employees were so badly hurt that they need not to go anonymous(like to use grapevine or other apps) to say the truth about byjus to others.
No company is good if employees are not happy.
To top it up just visit their linkedin post, all are filled with fake post posing to be employees of big companies.
Their employees have no place to open their heart, they are very peculiar about their SM image.
It’s a small north Korea where everything is tracked.
The only thing wrong about Byju's is Byju's
I swear, the fact that he named his company on himself really comes off as narcissistic. He's the kind of guy who would get his own face tattooed on his body. Ughh.
I think it's weird they deny a statement, then go on again and verify the same after a few days. The way they shamelessly denied PF problems till investigative journalists went and amplified it, simply shows absolute lack of ethics despite being in such hot waters.
I know of folks who are at the top of the food chain there with crazily bloated salaries, and some insane perks erstwhile the junior to mid level has been suffering incessantly.
What's worse is, that they used to take their teams for Football matches in the UK, cricket matches, random trips etc purely under the guise of incentives (which was obviously given to factored folks, have gotten this checked from multiple sources there), all of this with VC with outside capital when you really haven't solved for unit economics worthy to be called the top ed-tech start-up in the world!
Then pushing PR for simply letting the world know they are raising money rather than closing it simply to build FOMO and then dubiously call the round has been closed all the while your investors back out, simply because of optics!
The worst of all is the deeds of few (not only founders, but also top leadership who have been not only letting dubious activities slip but letting it thrive for years) has impacted the employability and trust factor of other folks in the chain. I know of founder friends who refrain from hiring from Byju's simply because of worries of morality and the culture they will bring with them. That's gonna make the market even harder.
The list goes on and on. I think they have a chain of awkward things, and what's worse is if it comes crashing it will not only bring people down with it. It will have adverse effects on the overall ecosystem which is gonna test this market even further and create valid doubts amongst global funds and orgs to evaluate the viability of the Indian mindset and market as a whole.
Byju has brought bad names to the Indian Startup Ecosystem. This will create a big dent on the reliability.
No one understood when India's biggest startup became a money rotating ponzi scheme. While the country was celebrating the startup wave 20-21 byju utilized it to create many subsidiary companies and acquiring companies which didnt get that much space in news space.
If those activities would have been reported, they would have been more cautious. I see Akash acquisition is the biggest scam done by them.
I don't understand how this deal was allowed by regulators in the first place and no investigative journalist dig into it.
One of their biggest scams was when they released their financial statement and everyone questioned their poor performance.
They blamed it on wrong reporting and how sales of services and products accounted for loss.
But no-one questioned if that is the case why they are not correcting their previous revenues as well. This surely clarifies that their previous revenue numbers were also wrongly accounted for.
Every employee of this company should get a better job and this company should go down for betterment of ecosystem.
Enjoyed the marketing side of BYJU'S before COVID. Glamourous! Shoots with SRK etc. Left in their glory time.
Tough time for the employees now!
Their sales culture has taken over the Edtech which jeopardizes the whole industry!
Early days of edtech and their employees is a better love story than Twilight. Miss those days🥲
Whole product? It was his plan to get the cricket and futbol team wear his name
Also username checks out
Didn't those Mf's sue their own VC's and people who lent them money. Things went from bullshit to dogshit.
Apart from unethical sales practices, toxic work culture and mindless accusations, what do you think went wring with Byju’s.
What is with these loss making startup founders who give bucketloads of gyaan despite their ventures making losses galore.
Gaurav of Unacademy wrote a thread and nitpicked on Byju’s yet everyone is aware of the ground reality of operat...
Let's have a one to one discussion about why you guys keep trashing me day in day out.
