Is there any other way apart from getting an offer from another company in hand and then asking your manager for a counter offer ?
If you can get an industry benchmarks report (not all roles in India have proper benchmarking) from a reputed publisher, you can use it to support your case. Depends on a lot of other factors but this might be useful in companies do not budge for negotiations based on an offer. Good luck.
