Any business other than food delivery is important to Zomato.
Zomato believes in the long run and businesses other than food delivery helps it achieve that kind of sustainability. That’s why Zomato has Blinkit, Hyperpure, Live events business (Feeding India and other concerts).
There are also other internal departments like Logistics, CRM, and Payments which are planned or already spun off as separate companies.
It’s a large category, where Blinkit is currently the market leader (vs Swiggy and Zepto) with better economics
Sure, it burns money, but my bet would be that they’ll keep it alive and that will be a great upside bankers will always rate their stock on
