BLS International - An Employee's Summary

I will just be focusing on the facts, and not my personal opinion about the workings of this company, so that the readers can judge for themselves whether this is a good company to work at or not. The following is completely true-

  1. The company had promised to pay some of the employees a fixed bonus after completion of some X years in the company, and the same was reflected in their offer and appointment letters. However, when the time came, they did not pay the full amount, and only gave a fraction of it, and replied that they wont give the money, regardless of how many times the employees ask for it

  2. You are not allowed to get up from your seat, except lunch break.

  3. Some employees were campus hired from premium institute like IIMs. However, multiple of them were suddenly fired, without any apparent reason.

  4. The employees from IIMs who were fired, were not even allowed to serve their notice period and were kicked within 1 week from the company. Some of these students were freshers who were still in probation, and had not even spent 6 months in the company.

  5. Whenever you go out of the office, even during lunch hours, then your entry and exit time is noted to see how much time you have spent not in office.

  6. You are not allowed to eat or bring non-veg food inside the office, because the promoters do not like it and can scold you.

  7. You only get 15 leaves in a year, combining all types of leaves such as sick leave and casual leave, and expire at the end of the year.

  8. Attrition rate is such that some teams have entirely new members every 3-4 years.

  9. Calls are made anytime such as at late nights or on weekends, and if they are not picked up, then your performance is reported directly to the HR or to the promoters even, with no warning.

  10. Threats and abuse are common, especially by the upper management of the company.

  11. No overtime is paid, even if you have to come on saturdays.
