Companies ghosting after first round

I had my first round with Lowe's. The interviewer during the interview said that I would be having a second round with a senior leader. Fast forward one week, and no update. I called the HR who assured me that there would be a second round but she wasn't getting the timeslots from panelists. I wait 10 days and follow up to get the same response. After that also, Nothing!! Now her mobile number is switched off.

This is frustrating as it happened with Amazon as well. Are you guys also facing the same thing? Or do HRs get sadistic pleasure messing with just me? 😅😅
