Culture at Titan

Hey guys, I have received an offer from Titan in Bangalore. Wanted to understand about the culture etc there - anything I should know before joining?

I’ve worked at Titan. Here are some things to keep in mind:

Pros:

Culture is great. People are very down to earth. The MD is seen in the canteen having breakfast with different teams everyday.
if you opt for transport, you’ll leave the office at 4.55 everyday without fail
people are nice as the company is doing well
Office campus is beautiful. Trust me, it matters

Cons:

Growth is extremely slow. The levels of hierarchy are too much. You will take 3 years for every promotion.
Negotiate a good hike while joining. They only have one appraisal cycle a year. Push for the maximum while joining
If you choose to stay near the workplace (E-city), that place is pretty dead. And commute to the main city takes time (and lots of money by Uber / Ola)

Overall, it’s a great move if you want to work for an established brand, with some stability. “People enter and exit Titan on their own free will” is a common saying there.
