Direct Messages on Grapevine

Hi All!

We’ve finally rolled out DMs on Grapevine.

We know this has been something a lot of people have been waiting for, but we wanted to take the time to get it right. Preventing spam, abuse, and bullying is our top priority, so we're launching DMs in a limited way that we think will ensure that Grapevine continues to be a safe and positive space for everyone.

Here's how it works:

1. Anyone can receive a DM! This means you'll never miss out on a message from someone, even if you haven't chatted before.
2. To start a new DM conversation, you'll need to have collected at least 300 grapes. This helps ensure that interactions are meaningful and respectful, coming from users who are actively engaged and trusted by others in the community

To start a DM, just tap on a person’s username and start chatting.

I know that some of you might be disappointed about these initial limitations, but we hope you appreciate our commitment to keeping Grapevine positive and spam free space, as we roll DMs out :)
