Any idea what will happen to employees in both companies? Who will remain and who will go? Already seeing big heads resigning on both companies.
Just like any other acquisition. All the heads from the acquired company will be forced to resign or will be replaced.
It's clear Disney Hotstar leadership is out for toss and JioCinema leadership will take over but what about mid tier and vottom employees?
One of my friends is with Jiocinema. For now nothing is clear from the leadership team. Most probably the team will merge and some low priority projects will be picked to develop new features.
Most of the JioCinema (or overall Jio's streaming leadership) had been poached from Star since '21. It'll be more like a dejavu for them.
Waiting for Hotstar to also make it possible to watchlist something only once we play it.
