Same. HR told me that they require some internal approvals. After a few days, they called and told me that they couldn't get the approval on my expected salary and lowballing me even when they can easily give me that extra hike.

Yes same for me, they said they will inform me after discussing with team. But they did not. But at least they can inform us before rejecting my expectations! And Can discuss .
