Does a second MBA make sense ?

I have done my MBA from a tier 3 institute and find it a little difficult to make into strategic positions in my organisation.

Has anyone found themselves in a similar situation in the past ? If yes then what was your roadmap to get into strategic positions in your organisation.

Does the second MBA ( especially an executive one from tier 1 institute) make sense.

Would love to listen to different perspectives here.

If you don't have much work ex yet (still under 2-3 years) then it makes sense to do from a tier 1 mba. And I feel a full time 1 year program would be better than executive in that sense. Otherwise no, you can keep continuously upskilling, constantly interviewing and keep making relevant switches to boost your designation/income.

Plan is to get into one year MBA program in either ISB or IIM A,B,C,K after 3 years of work experience

To my best knowledge, IIMA doesn't take below 5-year work ex in their 1-year programme.

Try a top up course from IIM. 6-9 months. It's better than doing another MBA

Probably no, try to create impact and level up in your career. The opportunity cost is extremely harsh.
