Does Cognizant take so long to release there offers ?

Well, I had my techincal and Hr round for CTS on 14th dec ,2024 and it was a walk in drive. After that I got two congratulations mail and also one call from HR team congratulating me and mentioning that the offer will be rolled out soon. Then on 26th dec , I had a connect with the TA team and he mentioned internal works going on and offer will be released soon. Ever since, every week I am sending out a follow up mail as he is not receiving calls, but is still responding with the same mail ‘internal process and approvals going on then offer will be processed’. Today it has been 18th jan, 2025 and still they are saying the same thing. I am not understanding, why are they taking so long ? As I am currently serving notice period and my LWD is approaching I am concerned. Please please please, I really need help with this. Will it be a good idea to mail the person (taking the mail id from a friend in CTS) who took my interview?
