EY vs Deloitte, which is better?

I have received a offer for consultant position from EY and Deloitte as well. The compensation provided by both the firms are exact same. So which firm should I join? Can someone let me know the work culture in both the firm, career wise growth, average hike and extra perks. HR from Deloitte mentioned some additional perks such compensation of 25k for Mobile phone, 20k for wellbeing, internet and mobile reimbursement, can someone let me know all the perks in Deloitte and EY. And no additional perks were mentioned by EY HR.

Don’t go for work culture. Go for the work you are planning to do there. If you are getting good role and responsibility then only join Deloitte. All the perks are fake and comes with lots of terms and conditions. Like if you leave the company within 18 months then you have to pay wellness benefits and all.

I’m getting a consultant role, but I’ll be working as functional and Technical consultant for a vendor based application.

You will get 25k for phone , after 3 years you can buy new phone and previously it was 2 years, 25k reimbursements for being subsidy every year, 20k reimbursements for new joine (one time) ,reimbursements upto 500 on phone bill(postpaid) and upto 1500 on wifi bill per month.

As per my offer letter, the reimbursement for phone bill postpaid, internet bill and landline is upto 3000rs per month, but they didn’t mentioned the limit for each explicitly. Also, HR mentioned about the wellbeing perks for 20k and mobile phone for 25k but they didn’t mentioned when I’ll be eligible for that. So, will I be eligible for 25k from this year only or will I have to wait till 3 years?

You will be eligible to buy phone as soon as you joined the firm, but to buy you second phone you need to wait for 3 years and after 3 years you will get around 40k as reimbursement for next phone.

As far as I have noticed the appraisals and other benefits of Deloitte are far better than EY. In EY you don't get any perks whatsoever. So if the position and compensation are exactly the same I would suggest joining Deloitte.

What HR said about deloitte is right, you get 25k and 20k yearly and it will be taxable, data and voice allowanceis also there upto 1.5k/month. Also deloitte has very good medical plan. Variable payout and hike is also better in deloitte.
