Google hiring back ?
Just came across a few LinkedIn posts and tweets. "Google is hiring back some of the people it laid off". Is this true ? Any googler here ? Can you confirm this ?
For very selective roles I guess. I saw another post as well in US but seems only 1 out of 50 gets a chance to be rehired.
I like the idea of rehiring, but the way this guy has shared on Linkedin is just plain stupid. "if you're good at your job you'll get noticed", as if the laid off people were underperformers. Cheap attempt to gain likes.
Engagement farming at best.
Shitty work ethics stop making google into a huge thing it isnt
If this is true, they will guilt you into working long hours.
Never go back to the company that fired you. If you have to, your priority should be to find a job asap

I know 5 people who got reached out by Google recruiters and are currently in the process. Why sudden spike in hiring at Google just after layoff?
Expedia is set to layoff 1500 employees. Everybody is just laying off people giving any bullshit reason
