Lost 30 USD in a crypto scam haha, early days of me exploring crypto. Made a lot more after that thankfully. Very easy to lose money in crypto and trading in general if you're not careful.

A friend made an advance payment for a rental on some apartment she found online. They paid via UPI. The mistake they made was they didn't verify validity of owner/agent, they paid to some rando online who claimed to be an agent. They lost 20k I tjink
My dad invested a very hefty amount in a fraudulent real estate builder. The scamster is in jail at the moment but we haven't recieved even a single penny from that company. It's been 8 long years.
