Is Python+ SQL enough for low YOE data analysts/ engineers?

I am trying hard to inculcate things like Pyspark in my skill set but I am not getting anywhere with it( I only use SQL in my job and very rarely Python) . I know a bit of Airflow and my foundation in SQL and Python( Pandas) is solid. I can do a bit of ML and web scraping with Python as well.

So will this be enough for switching at low YOE or extra tools are necessary

Python + SQL is enough for entry-level DE/DA roles—focus on building 2-3 projects with these (e.g., ETL pipeline with Pandas + SQL). Learn PySpark/Airflow only if targeting mid-level roles. Join our low-YOE support group for curated resources: https://chat.whatsapp.com/B6weknl7133BQXjPva0pgB

For low YOE data analyst or data engineer roles Python and SQL form a strong foundation Many roles still rely heavily on these skills especially if your SQL and Python (Pandas) are solid However, as you grow adding tools like PySpark Airflow and cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) will boost your profile and open more opportunities If you’re aiming to switch soon focus on strengthening Python SQL and practical projects Then gradually learn big data tools based on job requirements Your current skills are enough to start but upskilling will help long term Join our community for learning resources and job support https://chat.whatsapp.com/B6weknl7133BQXjPva0pgB
