ISB has been the number 1 Indian B school in FT MBA rankings for more than a decade now. They hit their peak of number 11 worldwide in 2011 I believe.
FT ranking are generally the gold standard for international MBA programs.
The IIMs you see on the list are the 1 year programs because global MBA accreditation agencies don't consider the 2 year program to be an MBA.
Harvard, Stanford, Wharton are all two year MBAs no?
Yes I was referring to IIM 2 year programs. The reason that they are not considered an MBA is because they allow students to join with 0 work experience. General guideline is minimum of 2 years of work experience.
Are FT Global Rankings legit?
How've the placements been this year at ISB?
In your opinion what’s the most legit criteria for rankings?
Unbiased, useful parameters being used and measuring the values for those parameters should also be unbiased. For instance, I think most Indian schools face a bias against them in a few global rankings which makes such rankings not so useful for Indians.
Yes in Research. Their research wing is really good
Ek to ye Sitra uncle bahot gyan pelte hai. I don’t even care about ISB honestly.
I've heard lots of conflicting good and bad viewpoints on ISB on Grapevine and otherwise. I want to explore these things more and build a balanced perspective.
Good things I've heard:-
How is ISB managing to substantially increase the avg CTC of its cohorts, year after year.
