Juggling Work and Family: Help Needed

"Seeking Advice: Work-Life Balance Challenges with Young Child I'm reaching out in hopes of finding some guidance and support. My wife and I are both working professionals, struggling to balance our careers with the needs of our 1-year-9-month-old child.

I work full-time at TCS, spending long hours at the office, while my wife works a hybrid schedule at Wipro, spending 3 days a week at the office. We're both deeply committed to our jobs, but our child's care is suffering as a result.

We've tried enrolling our child in daycare, but they're resistant to the idea, and we're finding it challenging to adjust to the new routine. We've experimented with 2 and 4-hour daycare sessions, but it's still a struggle for both of us to manage our work and personal responsibilities.

To complicate matters, our parents are unable to provide support due to health issues, and our in-laws are shouldering loan repayments and can't afford to take time off work.

We're open to exploring alternative childcare options, flexible work arrangements, or any other creative solutions that might help us achieve a better work-life balance.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions.

Not taken wipro day care.. due to myself in Whitefield & wipro in kodathi.. Unfortunately TCS don't have day care After day care seeing behavioural change like biting & all Frequently coughing & cold issues... Feeling ruthless to extend daycare upro 6 to 8 hours
Not even 2 year & can't speak complete words
Feels that he doesn't want to go to day care

Damn, that sounds tough. Wish you the best. Consider switching maybe?

Maybe one of you can take a teaching job in school or college especially the one with morning timing, then you'll get to spent enough time with your child. Or you can look for other career option like freelancing or any full time wfh job. See don't let your child suffer due to your career, one has to do some adjustment.

You can hire a reliable babysitter and wfh to monitor. If you can't get wfh then bring your parents to monitor the babysitter

I have crossed the same path.. explore for the best daycare where your child can enjoy and get along with other childs.. else shift your home nearby to wipro office and enroll in wipro daycare so that your wife will breathe somehow by seeing the child often..

I am too in the same boat, my child is 16 months old, but i apply for WFO exception every month, i have hired a nanny for 15k / month, still i am just able to manage my work, .....if you both cannot get wfh nor your parents can come, then daycare is the only option , or either of you take lwp for few months till your child is ready for play group
