Not at all performance based tbh. My colleagues who got promoted from Jan also got laid off.
One of my colleagues got promoted to VP on 2nd Jan and got laid off today. Bad joke

These layoffs are across teams and hierarchy. But mostly targeting VPs and above as they want to save costs.
