Need Advice to get into Mckinsey
Hi everyone, 24(F)
I graduated from a Tier-1 college (not IIT) with a B.Tech degree. Currently, I’m working as a consultant at a big MNC, where I’ve had the chance to work across various domains. It’s been two years since I joined, and now I’m considering applying to McKinsey for a Business Analyst role—or potentially a senior position if that’s feasible given my experience.
I’d appreciate any advice on:
How can I get into McKinsey? What should I keep in mind while applying to McKinsey? When is the best time to apply (does McKinsey have specific high-hiring periods)? What qualities or skills does McKinsey prioritize during interviews? Additionally, I’m curious about the work culture at McKinsey—especially whether it’s as great as people say. Lastly, I’m open to opportunities in McKinsey’s foreign offices. How does one increase their chances of landing a role abroad?
Any insights, tips, or guidance would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!
