Need honest opinion

As a consumer, would you be interested in a startup which solely sells sugarcane juice which is not heated like almost all the juices in the market currently, free from any chemical/ color/ preservative and yet has bottled shelf life of upto 90 days. Would you be interested in such a bottled sugarcane juice at subsidized rate like 30rs per 250-300 ml. I knwo there are brands like Smoodies and raw pressery which sell the same but their juices are damn costly. Need constructive feedback and honest opinion.

And lets be honest - Sugarcane juice is the hardest to preserve naturally as it gets spoiled by E coli bacteria the fastest and it is definitely not as ready available everywhere.

Hell yeah
Not at all.
I would drink from roadside stall ignoring the quality and hygiene

How do you prepare sugar cane juice with shelf life of 90 days without any preservatives?

Even if you can, no one’s gonna buy the “preservative free” narrative once it’s bottled.
Either the cheap road side shop/small shops works, or premium bottled ones in supermarkets will work, trying to achieve both won’t work in my opinion.

I have proper scientific research and access to patented technology which achieves preservative free juice without using any preservative or chemical or heat treatment and at the same time preserving the phytonutrients and organoleptic properties. And yes because of the current market scenario where all big brands claim their products are healthy and stuff wherein they stuff crap in their products, in such a market obviously it will be tough to change customer mindset. But yeah i feel its doable.

The thing about sugar content is that people still drink sugarcane juice and love to drink. The only issues are that it's not accessible easily and!/or it's unhygienic. Obviously not all will go to a mall and get cane juice for 150-200rs by brands such as CaneJuicery for 250 ml..

I want to revolutionized sugarcane as a product.

Thanks a lot for your feedback @EncryptedName 😊

Yae, it’s pretty difficult to change customer’s mindset. But if you figure out the product market fit and educate the consumers , has a huge potential to blow up given that most Indians love sugar cane juice as you’ve said.

One more thing you’ll have to keep in mind is people generally drink sugarcane juice when it’s really hot. While travelling, we like to stop by the shade and have a refreshing feeling while gulping down a chilled sugarcane juice. So estimating the TAM would be crucial.

Best of luck 🤞

Btw for all those who vote HELL YEAH, I would love to know why would you be interested in such a product. Not even a single person who voted for YES, has shared their views. I am really interested for constructive criticism to make my idea and product better but I am also interested in any motivation also behind this idea by people who voted for YES. 😅 Please be kind enough to share your views how this product will help you. You have no idea how much interested I am with this product.

I love sugarcane juice but barely drink it 1 time in 2-3 years because roadside unhygienic drinks aren't for me and Raw Pressery, etc. are too expensive. So voted HELL YEAH!!

I see no harm in the product given the specifics. Its the same stuff as roadside with just better hygiene so why not

I don't prefer drinking sugarcane juice from anywhere because of the high sugar

Yeah, I don't wanna cater to people who don't want to consume sugar. I only want to cater to people who want to consume this. Later on maybe I will focus on targeting people who avoid sugar just for the sake of its health benefits.

Actually hard to sell. The GTM will need to be excellent.

But there's hardly any competition. Also sugarcane juice apart from it's sugar content is like a goldiminr of nutrients. I am not saying this just because of labelling gimmick but it's actually an untapped and unexplored fruit acc to me. It's green gold. Yeah consumers may not directly believe this but yeah, I will be ready to scientifically prove. Plus juice is just one thing. Slowly the aim will be to infuse sugarcane in different kind of mocktails also with the same principles - zero color zero chemical zero preservatives. Zero heat. And still preserving all the phytonutirents.

BTW what do you mean by GTM?

Go To Market Strategy: GTM

Hard to explain benefits to users when you are selling something that they don’t know that they need

I see the hygiene issue is already solved these days atleast within cities and towns. Cane chopped at fixed length is stuffed in custom built freezers and juices in a closed machine on demand. The juicing happens in closed box so ugliness if any is hidden from sight.

Bruh OP straight up making us guilty for drinking from roadside stall. This is a biased way of surveying xD

SqueakySushi

Even though biased, yet mostly chose NO. 😂 And don't worry. I too drink from the roadies stalls even now everyday. Guilty as charged. But I do that because I don't have an option ND that's why I want to give that option to others 😊
