Need tips to land a good job offer

Hi all,

I wanted to check if the following points are actually true. I’ve come across them multiple times on different platforms:

  1. Applying for jobs on weekends is a waste.
  2. Referrals don’t work as well as they used to. (I’ve personally experienced this — applied via referrals at Meesho, Amazon, and others where my resume was a 100% match, but didn’t hear back.)
  3. Many job posts are just “ghost jobs” meant to gain followers on LinkedIn. (I’ve seen the same roles posted repeatedly for months by Amazon and Meesho.)

Please tell me how to better prepare for jobs so that I can land at a good company. I don’t wanna work at a startup ( have tried working at one and it wasn’t a great experience).

Also, I’d love some tips on how to land a good job in Marketing — I don’t see many people sharing their experiences specifically for marketing roles.

Try connecting to a hiring person in LinkedIn who is hiring for that particular position you are applying for and next directly mail your resume and experience in brief to them rather just applying in the job link.
