Need Urgent Advice: Joining MICROSOFT as a Vendor on Third-Party Payroll

Hi All,

Please help me choose a better option

  1. MICROSOFT (Through third-party payroll) - 15 LPA - Contract is for long term period
  2. Impetus - 11.5 LPA
  3. Deloitte - 12 LPA

YOE - 4.5 CCTC - 7.2 LPA

Is it safe to join MICROSOFT through third-party or should I go with other option. I have 45 days left at my current organisation. Will there be any challenge while switching in the near future if I go with Microsoft.

Note: This will be my 2nd switch. And in my 4.5 years I have worked as a FTE.

These Microsoft vendors are such chindi chors, so beware. Basically they are just officeless consultancies with hardly 300-500 employees whose entire earnings come from these 2-3 major organisations. And they layoff at moments notice when something goes wrong, they don’t even pay 2 months advance payment when laying off. So please check the reputation and size of the payroll company you are joining. If it is not some major company, just some local small timers, the I would suggest to avoid. They pay better, but it is not worth it.

That’s my concern. This 3rd party company is US based and they do have 3-4 offices across India. To be honest, one of the conern I have is job security. I have gone through several posts regarding this. Everything comes down to job security and future opportunities while switching do different organisations. Even though, it’s mentioned in the JD that its a long term project (>1 years). The Only thing I am sure is the learning opportunity I will get in Microsoft.

Anyway thanks for your reply! It really helped.

Actually, I am currently on bench. Although official company notice is 90 days. But based on past experience with other employees, HR usually ask for resignation once u complete 2 months on bench.
