Never had a call with HSBC

Recently , I applied for a role at HSBC, while i do understand that it was a tough one with numerous years of experience. Yet it showed on the portal that I'll be contacted for a telephone interview as I had already passed the psychometric tests from my previous application. Given into that, I just received an update on my application for rejection and status mentioned. The reason that the telephone interview was unsuccessful. This is happening for the second time at HSBC, where my application is being withdrawn for no reason at all. Has this happened to anyone else, too?
