Non tech roles, what is your salary progression over the years?
I'll start 3.2L > 6.5L > 10L > 15L 5YOE
Started in tech. Realized I absolutely hate coding. Could have made more money in tech but shifted to a intern position in business.
Digital marketing was a hard skill which I developed easily but being an engineer the soft skills had to be the major improvement.
Focussed on platforms (Google meta), then on acquisition channels (paid, organic, referral) then moved to strategy. Picked up Seo and aso on the way. @InexperiencedUnion
Crazily impressive journey!
3.2L > 7L > 14L > 22L+12L > 42l+16L
7 years exp
These are fixed plus variable numbers.
I always try to get a 100% hike on in hand comp.
The plus x is what I get through consultancy. Consulting has been a game changer as firms are always on the lookout for people who are good at auditing ad accounts like Google and Facebook as they are the major marketing cost centre.
Did you start with the same role? What was your method of skilling up?
Executive 90k, ASE 2.3L, ASM 3.5L, BDM 5.2L , ZM sales & ops 8.5L approx in sales & ops roles. incentives are different industry tk industry and roles too are.
