Nope this wont be tolerated

We let things slide too often. NOT THIS TIME. Recruiters get blamed for everything. Delayed responses. Ghosting. Rejections. Unclear communication. Fair criticism, sure. But does that justify crossing into pure filth?

YUVRAJ MUDGAL got rejected at one of the companies. Rejection email was sent - professionally, courteously. And he responded with this: "Daughter of a prosttute btch" "Get lost, motherf*cker." This is not frustration. This is pure filth. Vulgar, sexist, abusive garbage. And I refuse to let it go unchecked.

And no it cant be "a bad day" or "momentary frustration" justification.

You think rejection is unfair? Imagine how unfair it is to be met with this kind of hate for doing your job. We talk about recruiters ghosting candidates for a change, let's talk about candidates who unleash verbal violence when things don't go their way.

It's 2025, and this still happens. (and a lot goes unreported) It's 2025, and this kind of person still expects to be hired. Lets just be clear .. if you write this filth, you deserve to be named. And you will not be met with kindness. You need to be checked. You don't belong in any industry.

Hiring managers, recruiters, founders - READ THIS If you're hiring or interviewing, remember this moment. If you're building a company, you KNOW what kind of people to keep OUT. The line is drawn. And YUVRAJ MUDGAL is on the wrong side of it.

PS: if you are wondering why the company is not named, cause it was not about the company

Idk but 99% of times recruiters either ghost or don't provide a valid feedback and that creates tremendous mental pressure on candidates. Is this justified??

GigglyUnicorn
GigglyUnicorn

Stupidity ain’t justified by logic but sure can be attempted

SquishyPenguin
SquishyPenguin

Or maybe do your 'job' of intimating the candidates fairly?? At least tell candidates the feedback you were informed? Ghosting or not providing valid feedback isn't a solution,it's the problem. Instead of sending a generic email, how about you call them like you called them before the interview??

All I see is a well educated graduate who took so much pressure and burst out!

Good that you named and shamed. Tired of bullshit posts where people protect the perpetrators and they always get off scott free without consequences

Please post on LinkedIn so that more people see it and other companies know to avoid such people

Chal na bhai.. Granted this is completely wrong on his part...bit Indian recruiters have to be one of the most unprofessional ones in here.. If somebody is immediate joiner you don't want them cause they have been laid off therr must be somehting wrong thwith then.. if somebody is having high notice period u don't want them.. And then countless ghosting not even a rejection mail

GigglyUnicorn

Generalise as much as you can mate.. but maan liya hr ans recruiters gadhe hai. Tum log to smart the.. dikhate kyun nai ho?

Smart wgerh ki baar nhi bhai but unprofessionalism, hanging up on past grades or a drop year or somehting else and biggest of them all what's ur previous ctc.. Bhai tujhe kya karna hai previous ctc ka apna budget bata na ya range bata and inteveiew leke final ctc decide kar aur baar khatam. But most of these I feel is India specific where it's just the culture and not recruiters fault. And lot of that stems from sheer amount of Competiotin and lesser number of jobs compared to candidates but still for example in usa people can have varied roles based on there backgrounds like one might be waiter sometime then become a navy seal and then be at jp morgan in a top bankers position hard to see that in India. But still if you guys could follow the ctc range and not ask previous ctc/hike determines on previous ctc(can try push ur management to do this) , lesser ghosting(even generic rejection suffices) i would feel it would be great and go a long way

Was interviewed for a company last week , when I joined the call HR was there and another person in the same call they looked at the screen told " isko dekhke lagta h iska nhin hoga yaha pe , shakal se pata chal rha h " I stay silent . Then the interviewer joined the call and asked a few questions and every time he used to laugh unnecessarily in the call unnecessarily

Bad experience sure. Does it make a legit case to abuse?

Nobody has the right to abuse someone. Whoever has done this should be liable for all the consequences.

Post the full thread. Can't trust one sided conversation these days

One of the recruiter from a renowned company called and abused me when I updated I won't be joining their company .

I’ll update my recruitment team about this makes sure such email ID + name doesn’t enter our process ever. If you as recruiter can make it on LinkedIn, I’ll make sure he never gets calls from AWS, Meta, Oracle & MS as well. They will further distribute it.

Woah What did they even think?

This is really really unfortunate, and I feel extremely bad for the person who had to receive this as part of her job.

Disgusting mindset.

PeppyDonut

What Yuvraj did is super wrong, absolutely disgusting. But, on a side note, and I’m curious to know, the email starts with providing feedback and turns into a generic canned response. Where’s the feedback?

PeppyDonut
PeppyDonut

And again not taking any sides or justifying anyone’s action but canned responses like this are the biggest reason for frustration among candidates. Not receiving a human written feedback that has the potential to help the candidate with their future prospects leaves them in a limbo and takes a toll on their mental health. Again, reiterating that Yuvraj here is wrong and must be prepared to face the consequences.

QuirkyNugget

Frustration is part of the deal. Companies are not obligated to provide feedback. It's a capitalist society. We don't have do-gooders everywhere. You have every right to talk about companies not providing feedback and not apply to them.

Also a Lesson for recruiters- respond in time and do not play with emotions of candidates. Not justifying the candidates behavior though.

GigglyUnicorn

You got to understand recruiter doesn’t play with candidates emotions.. company does .. hiring manager does,

Recruiters should provide a timeline stating candidate should hear back from them within this timeline. What usually happens is once the hiring target is achieved, nobody cares about pipeline candidates

You have chosen to conveniently hide your name and your companys name but have shared personal information name and email of your candidate.

For all I know this image could be completely fake and plot to ruin someone's career.

I agree that the candidate didnot behave professionally at all but you should just blacklist the candidate and move on.

Sharing a company private emails can cause legal issues for you and your company.

Valid.. will wait for a counter from the candidate directly to the company. PS: did not happen at my company

The reality of 3 month notice period for hiring
