It's just fear mongering

Nah, the situation is bad in Canada and UK.

Not really. Many of my friends who went for master are struggling to find jobs. I could name maybe one person out of 10 who could get a job (cannot classify that as a good job either). And these are really smart people too.

What's the reason of this hack not working anymore?

Donald Trump and AI boom

90% of them just goto a consultancy get fake experience get a job and make other Indians moonlight get promoted to middle management and make others life a living hell, so this is good news less skilled fucks can not get an easy way out because they got rich parents.
I had 120 people in batch of 2014 Btech by 2018 almost 110 people left for US or Canada back then I felt disheartened as I cracked SAT, GMAT but since I didn't have that much money I always used to feel jealous of them.
Their 2 years of "masters" was just them enjoying life and while I was slogging and this May marks the 5 years from the day they went abroad around 5-10 of my batchmates whonwere actually having skills have a job others are just doing cash jobs on gas station or doing uber eats and I kind of understand just money wouldn't get you everything.

I was thinking of pursuing MS as AI does not have much practical application in India yet, to get better opportunities US is still the best place, but is it even a good decision considering geopolitical situation and AI affecting job market?

These things will keep on happening. It's like a sine wave. Your personal goals shouldn't be affected by this

Now enjoy Amrit kaal in India. Congratulations.
IITans will still get something...others trure honeymoon over

Not really. It totally depends upon your skills and luck in some cases.

Love for PSU jobs is going to come soon again, hopefully it's good for India as brilliant minds will work for India.

This has been the situation for some time. With AI, there will be fewer tech and engg jobs. It's a reality and has to be accepted. So finding jobs as an engg graduate will become tougher and tougher.
