People born after 1995, are you gonna have kids?

If yes, what are your factors in the decision? (Plenty of reasons have been given for No kids.) Money (I need to be making X amount per month), time, mental health etc?

And have you thought about parenting consciously or is it just something that you’re gonna do because “that’s just what we do”?

I fell like up until our parents generation- whether or not we’re having kids wasn’t even a question, let alone giving some thought to how we’re gonna raise them.

PS- I’m asking because I just saw the fee structure for my 2nd grade niece and my mind can’t comprehend it.

Anyone advocating for no kids is just a stupid retard who lacks hindsight and foresight to look beyond their own lifetime and it's better they don't propagate their idiotic genes any further. Stupid evolutionary dead ends.

Not planning after looking at taxes, school fees, unemployment and pollution scenarios in India.

Parents are behind me but have to manage somehow.

I don't want to produce kids because my parents think who will take care of you after us or in old age?
But this thought is so selfish.

And looking at current GenZ generation, they are least bothered about relations, parents and responsibilities - I am pretty much sure my kid will say in future (we can't control peer circle, external environment even if try our level best to give best Sanksaar) after irritated for some reason - "F*ck you dad, I am leaving home, don't want to see your face".

Not just this, on spiritual level, I feel getting a birth at this time is nothing but pure suffering. Since birth you are compared with another kid, competition is always there, jealousy is at its peak due to easy social media access and loans on head for expensive flats. Diseases are on all time high due to processed food and bad air/water quality. What I am giving to my kid? Just STRESS.

So don't find a good reason to give a birth to kid in present world.

I totally agree. Also there's just so much sacrifice that goes into raising kids, it doesn't even feel worth it.

Completely ridiculous premise, no kid goes "f u dad" randomly. You're just unsure whether you'll be able to raise a kid well enough.

I plan to have kids. My perspective is that life is empty without kids. As far as the fee structure goes, there will be a school that is in my budget. Home schooling is one of the options. I have seen kids do better when they are home schooled. I feel after a certain level ( kind of school) will have very less impact.

Why is life empty without kids? I want to learn more about this perspective.

If you spend 24/7 with a kid and feel like you are the mother/ father of that baby then the feeling you get Is not replaceable, it feels worth to take any .

People give plenty of reasons to have kids. Like in this comment section.
To take care when you are old. Empty without kids and all that. I'm saying you should not have kids just for these reasons.
I have a son, 1.5 yo, and the way that he looks at me in the morning and smiles. Worth any amount of money in the bank.
The way he tries so hard to cry because we refused to give him sweets, worth the entire world! Wouldn't exchange this for anything in the world ❤️

Put your saving into a swp n put yourself into a five start old age home after 65-70.

That's better than procreating your own caretakers.

Better to just die at that point. What pointless life will you be living when neither your body nor your brain works?

What capitalism makes you believe is that you need to have a lot of money to have kids. After a certain point it will become like only the rich can afford to have kids. If so then what happens to the lineage of common people?
The world is over populated so yes on some level it's good to not have kids. But everything else in my opinion is very materialistic happiness that surrounds us if not for a kid.

Isn't that already happening?
People are producing less kids.
60's parents used to have atleast 3-4 kids. 90's parents used to have max 2 kids.
Current generation parents have generally max 1 kid. Bas ek hogaya kaafi hai.

Also, a recent article published about Telengana state's reduced birth rate to less than 1 indicates that couple in today's generation are not giving priority to kids.

School fees is not the major reason. It is one of the reason. There are multiple reasons. Safety of kids is a big concern nowdays specially girl child, less playgrounds or greenery around and more pollution everywhere is exposing kids to bad living conditions outside home. Thanks to social media, peer pressure and jealousy trap - they are exposed to bad habits and depression from young age.

Lots of such reasons.

I'm 26. I have a 2 year old kid. I'm earning around 30k per month. My wife isn't working.

I'm living happily with my wife and kid in the city without depending on anyone. If you think the X and Y factor, you may need to think about it forever. Reality isn't the same.

School fees don't really matter. My father's income was 20k per month but he managed to pay School/College fees on his 3 childrens. All we need is guts to sustain in this world.

The world we're living in here isn't going to be the same as tomorrow. So, Instead of thinking about the factors, Live with factors.

P.s. I've got a new job offer now. I'm hoping I'll be in the middle class boat anytime soon.

Already finalised my decision to remain childfree. I will be only looking for a partner who has the same mindset. Neither thinking for adoption in future, though I respect people who are happy to bring kids on this earth. I also have some symptoms of bipolar, ptsd and I feel better to focus on my goals, needs & my partner & won't be able to take care of a child. Will be doing more of community service parallely & after retirement, persuing hobbies, learning, ideating new stuff . So, it's not like I will be bored without having kids lmao. There is so much to do in this world to live a life of purpose.

Actually speaking of the truth.... NO ! It's not about the fee but about the extreme pressure we face in this tech world. To spit the fact ... day by day inflation is increasing and the competition too. It's better to love the way you want than to bring somebody EXTRA through you and letting the suffer here
